SUMMER 3D COMPUTER GAMES MODELLING COURSE TAKES OFF WITH REAL LEARNING IMPACT ACROSS THE UK....!!
Working with 11-14 years olds across the country - Cute Memory have had some UNFORGETABLE days introducing the young people to the art of creating their own action based short stories using the very latest 3D games based modelling software.
AUGUST, 2009 - "LET THE ROBOTICS BATTLE COMMENCE" - OUR SCHOOL BASED CATAPAULT TOUR
We have just completed our first "CATAPAULT TOUR"" - covering over 20 primary and secondary schools in the UK.
Children aged between 8 to 12 years worked in small groups to design, construct, and operate their own unique Lego based Mindstorms Robot. This was just the start of the challenge, as within these fantastic creations each group then had to build in their own VOICE ACTIVATED POWER CATAPAULT ARM.
So .........it was a case of programming to get into the right position, and then see who had the teamwork skills to hit the range of targets..!!!

Because of the huge success of the CATAPAULT TOUR - we will be launching a longer 2009 - 2010 tour in OCTOBER, 2009. The team here at Cute Memory are very proud to announce that they have just agreed exciting new partnerships with Extended Schools Services across the counties of Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, and Lincolnshire. This will involve a whole range of Summer/Autumn Workshops which will bring together children, parents, and teachers from across all four counties.
